“The bank is now fully integrated and looking to the future, with a focus on growth.”

Key Challenges
José Módica, Head of Operations, Administration and IT at Sudameris, explains how time constraints affected the process, as the project had to be completed within six months due to regulatory requirements. Furthermore, although the team was focused on the merger process, day-to-day maintenance could not be neglected, and the entire migration process had to be managed.

Merger Process
Luis Carlos León, Head of the IT Technical Department at Sudameris, explains that the merger was not merely a technological process, but also involved the integration of two very different banking cultures. This meant that rapport within the IT teams was crucial, with coordination, empathy and synergy being key factors.

Success Factors
Gonzalo Garmendia, Project Director at Bantotal, points out that the key to this project was the collaboration between the three parties: Banco Sudameris, Banco Regional and Bantotal.
“It is a real source of pride to see that our client has achieved its goal without a hitch, and that the Bantotal team played a vital role in this success, with our client offering special recognition for the hard work and commitment of our colleagues.”
